New digital radio stations for Plymouth

Soon radio will be getting a whole lot bigger in Plymouth and the surrounding area.More stations. More choice. More opportunities to broadcast – with what’s called small-scale DAB radio. PlymDab, a consortium of local media groups, has been chosen to run the network. We’re local people who have come together with the intention of keeping the new radio network in local hands.We hope to launch by the end of the year, so if you have a radio station, or would like to launch one, on DAB in Plymouth, do get in touch. You will need the appropriate licence from Ofcom, together with music royalty licences from PRS and PPL. We can talk you through the process.So stand by. Radio is about to get a whole lot more local and exciting in Plymouth, West Devon and South East Cornwall.
