Tuned into your requests since 1969 - forty years of Hospital Radio Plymouth

 

 

The length of hospital stays are reducing nowadays, due to medical advances and greater emphasis on post-operative convalescence at home. We are therefore looking at ways in which we can continue our role with the relief of sickness, infirmity and old age, after patients have left hospital.

A community audio magazine distibuted on CD is currently being piloted. Also here on this page, patients can make use of our services from the comfort of their own homes by listening to the various recordings below.

Other Charities

Former World Featherweight Boxing Champion Barry McGuigan will be presenting this year's Herald Sports Personality of the Year Award. Barry was previously in Plymouth in 1989 for the opening of what was then Ski Plymouth where he spoke to Andrew Hill. Click here to listen
